Coach Jeff Lake DL, Asst Head Coach

Coach Jeff Lake was born in Glassboro, New Jersey, where he played youth and High School Football the majority of his life. Coach Lake was a Blue Chip All-American during his high school career, playing offense and defense. He was ranked in the Top 10 for the State of New Jersey as a lineman and the Top 20 as a linebacker. He received a Full Athletic Scholarship for football to play at (HBCU) Delaware State University, a Division 1 Football Program. Coach Lake has been coaching football for many years. He has been a youth Coach for six years and a high school Coach for ten years.

Coach Jeff Lake coordinated the “Gary Brackett Football Camp” which was sponsored by Gary Brackett, Former NFL Line Backer and Co-Defensive Captain for the “Super Bowl Champions-Indianapolis Colts”. I coordinated and supervised the camp for ten years, which was a community football Camp for the Tri-State area (Philadelphia, Delaware, and New Jersey) athletes ages 8-18. The camp was free and it serviced over 5,000 young men. Some of the success stories who attended the camp were Philadelphia Eagles Running Back Cory Clement, 2020 New Orleans Saints Wide Receiver Prospect Juwan Johnson, and former New Orleans Saints Defensive End George Johnson. Coach Lake was inducted into the Glassboro High School Hall of Fame for football in 2006. He was also given a Community Service Award from the Glassboro Youth Football Program in January 2018 for his commitment to his community.

Coach Lake has coached the following positions: Linebackers, Running Backs, Offensive Line, and Defensive Line. This season, he is the Defensive Coordinator.  This is Coach Lakes' 5th year at Luella High School as a Social Studies Teacher. Coach has three daughters (Ambrial, Quiera, Charli) and one son (Aaron).

Something about Coach Lake: He wants to inspire his athletes to be great on and off the field. He hopes he will be able to motivate his players to reach their highest potential as a student-athlete.

Coach Chris Ward, OC

Before being a student of the game, be an exceptional classroom student." As a former graduate with honors of Henry County (Dutchtown 2009), giving back to this area means everything. Instilling the importance of the classroom with over 4 years of experience coaching and personal development of players, Coach Ward brings his own collegiate playing experience (Southern University, HBCU) as well as his helping hands to the players in any way. Ultimately, it's Coach Ward's desire to see players receive diplomas and then degrees. Something about Coach Ward : Coach Ward believes if you are a student athlete, then you know the classroom ALWAYS COMES FIRST.
